Re: Cercospora Monitoring/Reporting/Recommendations.
The Wyoming Sugar Ag Department shall set at least 8 Cercospora monitors by June 15th of each year.
Readings shall be taken and reported via text (on WSC text list) each week, even if there are no Infections Values. Once an Infection Value reading of 2 is received for any time slot at any station the readings will be taken and reported to the growers every four days.
If an Infection Value reading of 2 is received it is recommended that fields with a known history of Cercospora be sprayed.
If an Infection Value reading of 3-4 is received it is recommended that fields within a susceptible distance to the appropriate disease causing conditions along the Big Horn River be sprayed regardless of infection history.
If an Infection Value reading of 5 and above is received it is recommended that all fields with appropriate disease causing conditions be sprayed regardless of infection history.
Once a field is sprayed, it is recommended that if the Infection Value condition that prompted the first spray application continues, that the field(s) are sprayed again after two weeks and every two weeks thereafter until the Infection Value condition is gone.
